5.Makalu
Makalu is the world's 5th highest mountain located in Himalayas. It is between the border of Nepal and China. Its hight is 8482 meter which was first ascended by Lional Terry(French) and Jean Couzy(French).
4.Lhotse
Lhotse is on 4th in the list of highest mountains on the Earth, situated in Himalayas. It is located in Nepal. Having the hight of 8516 meters above sea level this mountain was first ascended by Ernst Reiss(Swiss) and Fritz Luchsinger(Swiss) in May 1956.
3.Kangchenjunga
Kangchenjunga is a high rising mountain located in between India and Nepal. It is one of the highest mountains in Himalayas ranges. It has a height of 8586 meters above sea level. First ascended by two English mountaineers George Band and Jae Brown it on number 3rd in the list of Highest mountains.
2.K2
Located in between Pakistan and China K2 is world's 2nd highest mountain. It is in Karakoram ranges and also the highest mountain of these ranges. It is 8611 meters high above sea level which was first ascended by two Italian mountaineers Lino Lacedelli and Achilles Compagnoni in July 1954. Before it K2 was long considered as an unclimbable mountain.
1.Mount Everst
Mount Everest is the highest peak of not only Himalayas ranges but also on top in the list of highest mountains in the world. Located in between Nepal and Tibet this mountain has a height of 8848 meters above sea level. It was first ascended by two Nepalese Sherpa mountaineers Tenzig Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary in May 1953. It is also called the roof of the world.
